Emma Stone, Hollywood's most in-demand best friend, is at it again!
On October 15, Stone and fellow Oscar Award-winning actor Alicia Vikander spent the evening together at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, wearing Louis Vuitton dresses from the same collection. This, of course, was no coincidence. The pair of LV ambassadors were joined by the brand's creative director Nicolas Ghesquière as they walked the carpet in grey and black ensembles from Louis Vuitton's recent spring/summer 2023 collection, which debuted in October during Paris Fashion Week.
Giant zips, enormous belts and bags that fit everything inside are all set to go viral next season.
While the looks gave off very similar vibes, the differences fit each actor's personal style to a T. Vikander opted for an intricate minidress with a structured leather plunging neckline and lace underlay with flirty sleeves, while Emma Stone opted for a daintier, sheer version of the dress that played into her favoured flapper aesthetic. Just take a look at the Louis Vuitton dress she wore for her wedding after-party (and later recycled for the 2022 Met Gala) to see what I mean.
Both women wore their hair pulled back away from their faces with minimal jewellery and black heels. Unlike Vikander, Stone topped off her look with a set of lace tights.
Aside from her illustrious acting career, Emma Stone is also known for her close friendships with many Hollywood A-listers, particularly Jennifer Lawrence. The pair have broadcasted their tight bond since 2016, participating in multiple joint interviews and public outings. While both actors have become more private in recent years as they each got married and welcomed children, Stone and Lawrence proved their friendship is still going strong during a recent girls' night out in NYC. And yes, they wore similar looks for that rendezvous as well.
"I love Emma. She cracks me up; she's so ‘theatre.’ She's so adorable," Lawrence told GLAMOUR US for a February 2016 cover interview. “Emma's never had a bad thought about anybody in her life.”
