Emma Chamberlain is back on hosting duty for the 2024 Met Gala, taking over Vogue's YouTube once again. The 22-year-old stepped out on the red carpet wearing a vintage gown by Jean Paul Gaultier. The brown dress, from 2003, featured a full-length sheer train that complemented the strapless lace bodice. For her makeup and nails, Chamberlain went full monochromatic with all brown.
When asked about the outfit by Fashionista, she said her look was “decaying,” which for all intents and purposes is a great interpretation of the “The Garden of Time.” According to Vogue, it was a collaborative process to get the final look. Together they added a skirt to the original corset and the look took “40 hours alone” for pattern making and "four seamstresses spent three about 600 hours."
In years past, Emma Chamberlain has worn different looks by Louis Vuitton, so this is certainly a departure from what we've seen her in before.
