Regular facials, whether DYI or at a salon are very much part of a good skincare routine. I love my at-home facials so much that I couldn't be without my Sunday Facial sessions. However I do also regularly go and see professionals for a more in-depth skin overhaul and to make sure my skincare regimen is still delivering.
Elizabeth Arden, makers of the cult Eight Hour franchise and high-tech anti-ageing range Prevage have brought their iconic New York Red Door Spa Services to the UK with a flagship salon in Debenhams Oxford Street. And they have most certainly upped the game when it comes department store facials - the therapy room is so tranquil and plush - you'd think you're in a 5 star spa. And the facials on offer are pretty impressive combining the best of high-tech tools (LED Light, hydro-dermabrasion) with traditional facial techniques (steaming, lymphatic drainage).
I booked in for 'The Ultimate Arden Facial' - but as I had hurt my neck and couldn't get the warm stone upper body massage, my lovely therapist Krenara, customised the treatment and added in some oxygen infusion instead. This kind of flexibility and bespoke approach is for me what sets the Red Door apart and why I can't recommend it highly enough.
