Ed Sheeran has major skills - he can command a room when he's the only one on stage, and there are no need for back-up dancers, wind machines or any other fancy gimmicks.

Well, that was before Ellen DeGeneres took to the stage with the British singer-songwriter.

The Give Me Love singer appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday, the afternoon after the GRAMMYs where he was understandably a bit tired (or hungover).

Luckily, Ellen was able to remind Ed Sheeran of all the things he may have forgotten about, like that moment she joined him on-stage to dance.

Confused? Don't be, it was just a funny spoof, but it was actually pretty amusing.

While Ed performed Thinking Out Loud in a massive venue, Ellen appeared in a floaty pink dress and a wig, ready for an impressive dance number.

"Yeah, now you remember," Ellen joked. "You have a big announcement."

As it turns out, Sheeran has a few things on his mind. One of them being a massive US tour!

"We start at the New Orleans Jazz Festival but it's all over the country," the singer shared when announcing his North American tour. "It's exciting. I love coming back and touring America. The food's just everywhere. It's great.

"Like all my mates went off to travel after university, but I never went to university so I didn't do the traveling part. So this is me traveling," he explained. "I get to see the world and my way of seeing the world is food. I love food."
