Dune: Part Two is one of those films you get completely lost in. The second instalment in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of the 1965 Frank Herbert novel, beyond having a roster of some of Hollywood's best and brightest actors and featuring achingly stunning desertscapes, the film allows us a real look into the world of the Fremen that we didn't have in Dune: Part One and sees some incredible performances such as that of a disturbing yet intriguing Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica.
Truly, we didn't want the film to end, so when the credits began rolling our minds immediately turned to whether or not we'd be getting another final tidbit in the form of a Dune 2 post-credits scene.

Denis Villeneuve previously told Empire that he hopes to make the films a trilogy to tell the darker side of Paul Atreides' story, so a post-credits scene would be a perfect opportunity to line us up for a potential Dune 3.
On his intentions for a third film, Villeneuve said “If I succeed in making a trilogy, that would be the dream. Dune Messiah was written in reaction to the fact that people perceived Paul Atreides as a hero, which is not what he wanted to do. My adaptation is closer to his idea that it’s actually a warning.”
Given the darker turn the final moments of the film take this makes sense, though if you were looking forward to another reveal in the form of a Dune 2 post-credits scene, here's what to know.
Worms and spice not included.

Does Dune: Part Two have a post-credits scene?
The official answer is no, though we would argue that several points in the film essentially serve the same purpose in that they set the scene for the next film and long-term future of the franchise.
The concluding moments of Dune: Part Two take a more sinister and foreboding tone, depicting a messiah complex brewing in Paul Atreides and a disillusioned Chani (Zendaya) trying to get as far away as possible from the unfolding chaos.
We're also given a key look into the future earlier on in the film when Paul's visions show a grown-up Alia Areides (Anya Taylor-Joy) travelling through a reborn Arrakis in which water is seemingly now a plentiful resource.
When the first film came out Villeneuve previously told NME that “I don’t use post-credits scenes. I’ve never done that and I would never.”
Explaining that he doesn't want to interfere with the final moments of a film, he said “There is a very specific final emotion that I was looking for with the final frame [of Dune] and I don’t want to mess with that."
That said, Alia Areides' appearance provides an exciting teaser for the next film, alluding to the future of Arrakis and suggesting that she will feature more prominently in a potential third film. Safe to say it can't come soon enough!
When can we expect to return to the planet of Arrakis?
