Disco legend Donna Summer has died after a lengthy cancer battle.
The five-time Grammy Award winning singer, best known for iconic 70s hits such as Hot Stuff, Bad Girls and I Feel Love, was 63 years old.
Celebrity website TMZ.com broke the news this afternoon, having had it confirmed by a source close to the singer. The report added that Summer had been keen to keep the extent of her illness under wraps, and was focused on finishing a new album prior to her death this morning in Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Sudano, three daughters and four grandchildren.
