We can't wait for more Aimee Lou Wood-style comedy, which will soon be hitting our screens in the form of the BBC TV series Daddy Issues. The best part? The trailer has literally just dropped – you can watch it below.
The Sex Education star will lead the show alongside David Morrissey. Together, they'll play the rather dysfunctional father-daughter duo Gemma and Malcolm, who must navigate their own issues, as well as Gemma's unplanned pregnancy.
Here's everything we know so far about the six-episode series Daddy Issues.
Here's who is starring in Netflix's new period drama.

What is Daddy Issues about?
According to the BBC's plot synopsis, "The show follows Gemma (Aimee Lou Wood), who lives for the weekend when she can get blasted and party hard in Stockport, Manchester. But after joining the mile-high club with a random hook-up on her way back from a holiday to Portugal, she's pregnant, and it couldn't come at a worse time.
“The only person Gemma has left in her life is her dad Malcolm (David Morrissey), who is kind-hearted but useless – he can't load a washing machine, boil an egg or change the Wi-Fi password. Malcolm is suffering from the collapse of his family and living in a bedsit for divorced men. Which is how Gemma and her dad end up living in Gemma's flat. She needs support at a critical time in a woman's life, he needs help microwaving rice without it exploding.”
It seems like a coming-of-age story, but for all ages. “At its heart Daddy Issues is a classic odd couple comedy about two funny, deeply flawed characters, who just happen to be father and daughter,” the show's bio reads. “Along the way there will be dating disasters and failed romances, toxic friendships and messy family dynamics, plus a dangerously sociopathic antenatal teacher.”

Who has been cast in Daddy Issues?
Joining Aimee and David will be Sharon Rooney (Barbie, My Mad Fat Diary), Taj Atwal (Line of Duty), Tom Stourton, Susan Lynch (Sex Education), Lauren O'Rourke (Henpocalypse), Cyril Nri, Cora Kirk (Your Christmas Or Mine), Damien Molony (Brassic), Sherrie Hewson, Humphrey Ker, David Reed (Ghosts), Perry Fitzgerald (Line of Duty), Claire Keelan (The Trip) and Susannah Fielding.
Aimee has spoken about her love for the show's script – written by comedian and Brassic writer Danielle Ward – and working alongside David.
“It had been a very long time since a script had made me laugh out loud. Danielle’s did exactly that,” she said. "Then when I heard David was involved, I was even more excited. He’s someone I have admired throughout my life. Watching shows like Blackpool and Red Riding when I was younger fuelled my interest in acting and so it feels surreal and amazing to be working with someone I class as a legend and inspiration."
