Cruise Collections are a big deal in the fashion world and represent the ultimate in laissez-faire luxury.
Originally designed for the jet-setters among us, the collections nestle themselves between Spring Summer and Autumn Winter to provide a holiday wardrobe outside of the seasonal drops.
And now, it seems, beauty is jumping on board the Cruise ship with a mid-season offering all of its own.
Last week, Chanel revealed a 14-product makeup collection, Eclat et Transparence de Chanel, curated by Lucia Pica, Chanel's Global Creative Makeup & Colour Designer and featuring balmy textures and soft, tender pink and green hues.
Of the collection, Pica said; "It's really about how to transform that glamorous feeling of Summer into something that is still striking, but feels more transparent; more as if it really becomes part of the skin."
And while Chanel is very much blazing the trail, we have a sneaky suspicion that we'll see a lot more where Cruise came from. At least, we hope we will.
