MAKEUP TRENDS

Copper eyeshadow is the autumn makeup trend that's giving cosy glam

And it's the perfect transitional shade between summer and winter.

The barely-there makeup aesthetic ruled summer, and rightly so, since it was so frickin hot, but for autumn we’re ready to level (and layer) up. First up? Copper eyeshadow. Our eyes have been semi-nakey for long enough and we're in need of a deliciously rich shade that can serve up sultry, luxe and cosy vibes all in one hit. Copper eyeshadow delivers on all three and since the seasonally-suited shade nods to the warm russet, rust, spice and sepia tones you'd find in falling leaves, fading sunsets or your pumpkin spiced latte, it's a total mood, too.

The colour already has some seriously impressive celeb endorsements, having been spotted swiped across the lids of Dua Lipa, Florence Pugh and Emma Chamberlain. Even better, we love that the democratic tone works beautifully across all eye colours (complementing browns, blues, greens, ambers and greys) and all skin tones. It adds some much-needed warmth, too as we head into the colder months. But equally, it'll shine beautifully for those last few end-of summer sunscapes.
