Remember when Angelina Jolie wore some pretty crazy custom-made Christian Louboutin shoes for her Maleficent press tour back in May? The heels were a bespoke creation for Ms Jolie, but now, following the massive success of the movie, Louboutin are bringing them into stores.
The "Malangeli" shoe is as spellbinding as Jolie's evil sorceress, featuring a heel created to curve like a tendril of smoke, and two dark colourways - blood red and black.
In October 2014 the shoes will go on sale at four Christian Louboutin flagship boutiques - but the collaboration has a charitable edge that perfectly ties in with Jolie's philanthropic nature. Profits from the sale of the shoes will be donated towards SOS Children's Villages, a charitable organisation supported by Jolie that helps abandoned and orphaned children.
Louboutin has said of the partnership that working with Jolie was one of his "greatest pleasures" - thanks to her strong aesthetic and character. We couldn't agree more.
