Giorgia Villa took home the silver and the gold. Well, if you count golden yellow cheese. The Italian gymnast is sponsored by Big Parmesan, and the internet loves her for it.

As part of Team Italy at the Paris Olympics, Villa helped bring her country its first women’s gymnastics team medal in almost a hundred years. It was a joyous moment! And then she went viral on X for the cheese thing.

But cheeseheads should note that a wheel of parm doesn’t actually need to be refrigerated, and Villa is probably being paid in money and not cheese.

When her partnership with Parmigiano Reggiano was announced, reports Newsweek, Villa said in a statement, “Since I was a child I have always loved this fantastic product, a symbol of Italian excellence and culture, and from today being able to collaborate with them makes me extremely proud and charged to face future challenges!” Frankly, I believe her.
