Chanel is known for staging catwalk spectaculars - from underwater kingdoms to a Chanel branded supermarket. This season saw Karl Lagerfeld recreate Coco Chanel's 60s' Rue Cambon salon, where she would have showed her latest collections in an intimate, exclusive setting.
Lagerfeld's version was predictably large-scale, with rows upon rows of gold chairs in which everyone had a front row seat - no mean feat.

FROW guests included Pharrell, looking sharp in a frosted tweed jacket, and Willow Smith, dressed in a futuristic bodysuit.
It was a collection of Chanel classics, with lashings of tweed in pastel shades, quilting and so many strings of pearls. But a new signature was added this season - bejeweled mini silhouettes of Lagerfeld's beloved cat, Choupette, which adorned accessories and lurex skirts.
So which looks will influence our wardrobes next winter?
Quilting has always been a Chanel house code, but it's an idea that's taken off in a big way for autumn/winter 2016. Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga has paid homage to puffy styles this season, and now Chanel - as modeled by the gorgeous Gigi Hadid.

Another key trend for the new season - ruffles and frills. Wear a black bow round your neck as a nod to Coco Chanel.
Yes, yes there were some great accessories on the catwalk, but special mention goes to Hudson Kroenig's metallic boots. Karl Lagerfeld's godson was looked after by Anna Wintour on the FROW before joining the designer for his catwalk bow.
