Chanel has just staged its autumn winter 2017 haute couture show in Paris and there's one accessory that has us all talking.

The accessories at Chanel are never to be overlooked. Each season, Lagerfeld will throw something into the mix that we never thought we needed until it's right there in front of us, be it a tweed backpack, Grecian-style headband or a rocket bag.

As for headwear, we've seen berets (naturally) and colourful caps on recent runways, but Lagerfeld's latest offering comes with a big 'eh?': bowler hats.

When you think of bowler hats, you'd be forgiven if images of Winston Churchill, 1950s city workers, and that brief time (circa 2009) when people like Alexa Chung wore them to gigs conjure in your mind.

Chanel's bowlers, however, are decidedly more glamorous, from shiny leather to speckled tweed. We can already see Bella Hadid and Cara Delevingne wearing theirs to various fancy events come winter.

Will you brave the bowler?
