There are only a few British reality shows that can claim to be truly elite — and the BBC's Race Across the World is definitely one of them. The show sees five pairs of Brits embarking on a trip “around the world” (or at least pretty far) with only cash, a map and a few personal items. Oh, and of course, no flights allowed.

The show never fails to be a thrilling, emotional delight — as the contestants learn about the great big world, they often learn just as much about each other, too.

Last year, the BBC introduced a new spin on the format with Celebrity Race Across the World. The celebrity version of the show was just as exciting and raw as the original, but, naturally, there was the added intrigue of watching “celebrity” contestants trying to get around on a budget. Celebrity meteorologist Alex Beresford and his father, Noel, ended up coming in first in last year's race, which took them from Marrakech, Morocco, to Tromsø, Norway.

The BBC has just revealed that a second series of the spin-off is coming our way on August 14. This year, four celeb pairings will race from 12,500km across the length of South America, travelling from Belém, Northern Brazil, to the Andes, Frutillar in Southern Chile.

With another season fast approaching, let's take a look at the Celebrity Race Across the World 2024 cast, who will be racing this time around.

Kelly Brook and Jeremy Parisi

First up we have Kelly Brook and Jeremy Parisi. Brook is an American actress and model best known for portraying Prudence in NBC's One Big Happy. She married Italian model Parisi in 2022. In 2023, the couple moved from the Kent countryside to London. Earlier this year, the pair appeared on an Italian reality cooking show called La Dolce Vita.

“Jeremy and I now we are married we have definitely simplified our lives,” said Brook to the Daily Mail earlier this year. “My house is very minimal now. As long as he has a gym area he is happy. He doesn't get too involved, but he does like it more minimal. He's Italian so he is going to have great taste.”

Let's hope their minimal lifestyle has prepared them for life on the road.
