Carey Mulligan has revealed that shooting The Great Gatsby "felt like acting in a theatre company", despite the scale of the project.
Speaking to GLAMOUR at the Cannes Film Festival, Mulligan opened up about working on such a huge movie.
"It was a real dream to get to work with the people I got to act with during the film," she told us.
"It was a huge, huge film, I've not done anything like that before, I've mainly done independent films, so I was daunted by the scale of it.
"But actually, Baz was such an amazingly intimate director, he made everything feel very small and it felt like acting in a theatre company, even though it was an enormous set. It was great."
We spoke to Carey on the red carpet at the IFP & Calvin Klein Euphoria party in Cannes, and she also told us about the most inspiring woman in her life.
"My mum is caring and generous to a fault," she said. "[She] looks after people incredibly and she's a wonderful friend. I really admire that."
