Last year it was all about the monogrammed Burberry poncho - remember how everyone was desperate to get their hands on the personalised cover-up (as seen on Olivia Palermo, Cara Delevingne, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley et al)?

Well, expect more of the same this year with the introduction of the new initialled Burberry scarf.

That's right - Burberry has made it even easier to get your hands on one because they've introduced a "Scarf Bar" online and in store. Shoppers can design a classic cashmere scarf, completely personalised to your own specifications.

The bespoke scarf - favoured by the A-listers - comes in more than 30 colourways - and there are 30 shades of thread for embroidering initials.

The scarves are made from 100 percent cashmere and are woven in Scotland at two distinguished mills in the towns of Elgin and Ayr, each with a rich history of producing cashmere scarves using the finest materials and craftsmanship techniques - but this comes with a price tag. A monogrammed "classic" scarf retails for £330, while the "lightweight" larger option comes to £495.

Right, we're off to write a letter to Santa…
