Four years after the shocking death of actress Brittany Murphy, Lifetime are making a TV movie about her life.
The two-hour film, The Brittany Murphy Story, will air in September, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and actress Amanda Fuller, who has appeared on Grey's Anatomy, will play the lead role. Twin Peaks star Sherilyn Fenn will play Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy.
The film will detail Murphy's younger years, when her mother Sharon Murphy tried to turn her into a star. It will also cover the aftermath of Brittany's death, when her mother had to deal with claims that her daughter's death was not accidental.
As is often the case with these biopics, a spokesperson for Sharon Murphy has revealed that she was not consulted for the movie and has not cooperated with the production in any way.
