Sheeny skin can be a tricky balance to master without looking OTT or a little on the greasy side, but we spotted a glowy cheek hack that we're saving to repeat asap. It's becoming a little more seasonal, but really, who doesn't want to look like an angel all year round? So we're very much here for anything that can give us some dreamy cherub / halo / celestial vibes.
We were introduced to the hack in question by makeup artist, Shruti Bhatt, who shared the trick to her Instagram. Not only did it take approximately 10 seconds to create, but she repurposed her lip liner to add a delicate flush to her cheeks (and you know how much we love a multi-hyphenate).
First off, she started by sketching a zig-zag onto her cheek using her favourite lip pencil in a nude pink. Next she swiped Charlotte Tilbury's glow-getting Hollywood Flawless Filter over the top. She spritzed her blending brush with MAC's hydrating Prep + Prime Fix+ setting spray, then blended the whole lot together for the prettiest, natural “lit-from-within” glow. The combination of a stiffer cream texture (the lip liner) with the liquid highlighter means that that pretty nudey-pink flush shows through underneath the illuminator for super soft, diffused cherub cheeks.

Alongside Shruti, though, there's another woman we entrust to see us right when it comes to a phenomenal glowy cheek hack, and that's celebrity makeup artist, Nam Vo, who's made her famous “dewy dumpling” glow a signature of her aesthetic. Highlights (see what we did there) include the 2-stick hack, which we reckon is one of the easiest methods to swipe on some cheek colour. She combined a streak of the pearlescent Chanel Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Sculpting on highs of cheekbones, alongside a swirl of the Les Beiges Blush Stick on the apple of cheeks for a seriously ethereal-looking glow.

After that, just make sure you head somewhere that's going to really show off your hard work. Candle lit dinner anyone?
