If there was ever a day for us blondes to feel smug, it's today. Turns out, after years of 'dumb blonde' jokes, we're actually tons smarter than everyone else (kind of).
A study by Ohio State University, reported on here, has shown that us blonde-haired ladies are just as clever as women with brown, red or black hair, if not more so.

The report found that:
Women with blonde hair were more likely to be in the highest IQ category and less likely to be in the lowest.
Blonde women had an average IQ of 103.2, higher than that of women with brown hair (102.7), red hair (101.2) and black hair (100.5).
Hurrah, finally we are vindicated. After years of being called bimbos, we now officially have proof for something we've always known to be true: we're super intelligent.
Not only do we seem to have higher IQs, but we also grew up around more books, apparently. Jay Zagorsky, who ran the study, stated: "If blondes have any slight advantage, it may simply be that they were more likely to grow up in homes with more intellectual stimulation."
Now just one last question: does all this count to, err, not-so-naturally-blonde blondes? #roots
We can dye our hair all kinds of bright pastel colours
With all our bright bleachy hair, you can spot us in a crowd from miles away (sort of)
We can totally do that 'beachy blonde I'm-a-mermaid' kinda thing
We've got more chance of playing Debbie Harry in a biopic of her life
We can now say we have a higher IQ than people with other hair colours, right...?
