London Fashion Week launches today - but our fashion week festivities started yesterday at the launch of the British Fashion Council's pop-up shop at Somerset House.
The Shop, a concept store that launches today and will be open through to Vodafone London Fashion Weekend (22 September), will sell contemporary British fashion to the public - giving everyone a chance to get involved with fashion week fun.
<p class="Default">Set across two rooms on the ground floor of
Somerset House in a space designed by Robert Storey, *The
Shop* will host designer pieces from some of the hottest
names in British fashion, from Markus Lupfer and Bella Freud, to
shoe maestro Sophia Webster, chic Prism sunglasses, Lulu & Co.
and House of Holland.

<p class="Default">After taking a peek inside, we spied plenty of
buys worth updating your wardrobe with (The Henry Holland nails and
Bella Freud knits in particular) - but there's also flash sales,
readings, interviews and musical performances going on inside the
shop.

<p class="Default">Our pick of the events? Zoe Jordan is reopening
her Do it like a Doodle competition on Monday between 9am -3pm, DJ
sets (including Seth Troxler) that will be streamed across the
whole courtyard, and we've heard rumours that Alexa Chung will be
selling 20 signed copies of her book at some point over the
