Beyoncé has officially given the no-pants trend the Christmas party stamp of approval.
On December 16, the 42-year-old icon paired a sheer ivory turtleneck and (possibly faux) fur coat with the shortest pair of sequins shorts you could possibly imagine. Beyoncé — who recently debuted Targaryen blonde hair at her Renaissance concert documentary premiere in late November — further accessorised the look with sparkling white hoops, cream pumps, and, of course, a pair of black cat-eye sunglasses.
The latest trend in bottoms is not wearing any at all.
For a closer look at her teeny tiny bottoms, the Alien Superstar singer shared a booty shot in the sixth slide of her Instagram post, showing off the little Prada logo on the back of her “sequin tulle panties shorts.” Other photos included in the roundup depict a Christmas party in full swing, with Beyoncé partaking in a much-deserved glass of red wine. If 2023 had one sartorial theme, it was the no pants trend — and celebrities seem determined to see the movement through the end of the year, regardless of winter's declining temperatures. The trick: just add tights, and shorts so tiny they're basically underwear.
In mid-November, Anne Hathaway's stylist Erin Walsh swore “the cutest teeniest little pants” were hidden under the Eileen star's premiere look, though you probably can't see them with your naked eye. Her red Valentino dress shirt, black tights, and Proenza Schouler thigh-high boots were perfectly visible, of course.

However, some celebs are still braving the cold with bare legs. Hailey Bieber went rogue earlier this week, spurning tights altogether in an oversized “New York” crewneck, brown wool coat, and Mary Jane flats. At least she wore socks!
Of course, if you're looking to sparkle this holiday season, Beyoncé's Prada panty shorts are the way to go. You just need to be willing to drop £1,840. Merry Christmas!
