Twitter has released its top 10 most popular retweets of 2017 in the UK.
Ariana Grande makes the list as well as Former President Barrack Obama but awkwardly President Donald Trump failed to make the top ten.
But surprisingly it wasn’t an appeal for world peace or charity work that got the most RTs on the social media site but actually a man’s quest to get free chicken nuggets. Well the struggle is real.
1. Carter Wilkerson asks for free chicken nuggets
In April, Carter Wilkinson tweeted US fast food chain Wendy’s asking how many retweets he would need in order for them to give him free chicken nuggets for a year. They replied asking for 18 million. Sadly he didn’t make his target but it was retweeted more than 3.6m times since.
But the good news is that since it is now the most retweeted in the social media site’s history, the food chain has agreed to award Carter with a year’s supply of nuggets.
