The 5 tweets you need to see about Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go, one of the most successful mobile games of all time, has obsessed the world - to the tune of 80 million tweets.

There's a bit of a backlash at the moment since developers Niantic removed the ability to track Pokémon (and shut down a good third party site that let players do this, called Pokévision to boot. Boo!) But this hasn't stopped the game from spawning no end of discussion on social media.

There have been more than 80 million tweets about Pokémon Go since the game launched in early July, and it's even spawned a dating app called Pokédates.

Twitter has released data showing that the most tweeted-about Pokémon is the adorable Pikachu, followed by Mewtwo - a legendary, rare Pokémon who does not yet feature in Pokémon Go - and Charizard, the final evolutionary form of the cute fire type, Charmander.
