Trends come and go, but two haircuts, in particular, have stood the test of time. A chic bob and a banging fringe. Together, you get fringed bobs of course — the most epic hair combo. Timeless, classic, and a little bit sexy, both add a peekaboo element of drama to your hair. One shows off necks and collarbones. The other skims lashes. Yet, it still manages to feel relaxed and quietly confident.

Now the hot weather might put you off from a long fringe but if your hair naturally falls in that way, who are we to defy gravity? Ultimately summer won't be around forever. Also, a bobbed fringe just hits different this time of the year. Picture this: she's short and flicky weather appropriate and but also with a splash of fun. Pruning back overgrown layers is its own mini cleanse, that's why we predict we'll see a trend for going even shorter in order to feel extra fresh.

For a trendy spin on the style, midi fringes (cut back above brows) will make an appearance over  summer, and bobs will hit jawbones and higher. However, swooshy curtain fringes and heavy, full-looking bobs are a beautiful and classic nod to the trend, that always looks beautiful.

Here's eleven ways to wear your fringed bobs all summer long...

Short fringe, long bob

The midi fringe looks cool and modern. The longer-length bob is versatile enough to style into low pontails or a micro bun.

The Frenchie bob

The timeless Parisian-inspired French bob is super chic, plus the shorter length bob and fringe feels a little daring.

Cool and casual

This wavy bob feels super laid back and makes the most of pretty texture. It's the perfect off-duty way to wear the cut as it doesn't involve a lot of styling.

Ultra sleek

We've missed blunt cuts with immaculate edges. This slick style is deliciously neat and orderly, but worn with a simple T-shirt or loose blazer, looks effortless.

Swooshy and romantic

Long, lash-skimming fringes feel seductive and romantic. Paired with a swooshy, longer-length bob and you have yourself a look that will never go out of fashion.

A classic bob and fringe combo, taken a little shorter to feel more modern, plus the loose texture gives it attitude.

Fresh and choppy

A style that's ready and raring for sunshine. This fresh cut is a mood and the choppy fringe keeps it feeling breezy.

Animated and flicky

This take on that 60s flipped hair, sees the trend having a more Y2K revival with a modern twist with a middle parted fringe. In theory, this doesn't sound like it would work, but when executed right? 10/10.

Curly

Not ever leaving out the curly curls, because we can also rock a fringe without putting our coils into heat damage trauma. Minimal effort, maximum volume and a lots of movement.
