The Sherlock actor was recently on The Jimmy Kimmel Show. And so was R Kelly, promoting his upcoming album, Black Panties.
So Jimmy Kimmel, in a genius move, decided to get Benedict Cumberbatch to read out the lyrics of Kelly's recent track, Genius in a sort of sensual yet simultaneously hilarious poetry reading.
Anyone who's ever known the words to an R Kelly song off by heart (shakily raises hand) will know that his lyrics (and not just Bump N Grind) make for a sometimes amusing read.
Highlight = When Benedict says "Imma hit that thing again" (and does a weird wink/nose wrinkle thing/tries not to laugh).
If you weren't a fully paid up member of the Cumberbatch appreciation club before, it's safe to say the video below may convert you.
