Who's just been voted the sexiest movie stars?

Benedict Cumberbatch and Emma Watson have been voted the sexiest actors in the world, according to a new poll.

In the Empire Online survey (which attracted 230,000 votes from around the world) the pair pipped a number of famous faces to the top spot, including the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence. Cumberbatch was closely followed by Tom Hiddleston and Henry Cavill in second and third place respectively, with Ryan Gosling, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth also making the top 10. In the actress category, Watson beat Scarlett Johansson, who landed second position, with Jennifer Lawrence finishing third. Kristen Stewart and Anne Hathaway placed in fourth and fifth.

James Dyer, editor of Empire Online, commented: "It's a great result for British stars, but what's clear is that it's less important to have lots of casual fans and better to have a dedicated hard-core. "The Cumberbabes, Hiddlestoners, Twi-hards and Cavilliers all made their opinions heard! "This list also reflects the continuing popularity of superhero movies: six of the top ten men have played superheroes and five of the top ten women have appeared in comic-book movies."
