Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is finally out in cinemas, with it well and truly setting the tone for spooky season. Starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega, Tim Burton's dark fantasy horror sequel arrives 36 years following the release of the 1988's original Beetlejuice.
Seeing us return to the Neitherworld with the revival of everyone's favourite ghost, Beetlejuice 2 has already proven a hit with fans following its opening weekend. Earning £83m in the US box office alone, the film had the third biggest debut of the year after Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine.
It's little wonder why, with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice tapping into all the glorious nostalgia of the original while reimagining the same chaotic, bizarre yet relentlessly witty energy in a new, emotive storyline. Truly, we didn't want the film to end, which had us immediately wondering whether we'd be getting a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice post-credits scene as one final bonus.
With the success of the sequel so far, we can't help but wonder if this is the last we'll be seeing of Betelgeuse or whether there might be one final credits scene alluding to a potential Beetlejuice 3.

Is there a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice post-credits scene?
In recent years, increasingly films have featured post-credits scenes to tie up any loose ends from the film and set the stage for any potential follow-up films.
However, while it tends to be a given on Marvel and Disney movies, it's worth noting that the original Beetlejuice film was notably sans an end credits.
With that in mind, we can confirm that there's no Beetlejuice Beetlejuice post-credits scene you need to stick around for in the cinema, nor any form of credits scene.
Safe to say, sadly saying ‘Beetlejuice’ three times in quick succession won't in fact summon the ghost. Sorry, friends.

Ok, so there's no Beetlejuice 2 post-credits. But will we be getting another Beetlejuice movie?
Without giving away too many spoilers, the final moments of the film definitely leave things open for a future with the Deetz family and Betelgeuse.
However, whether or not we get a Beetlejuice 3 will ultimately come down to whether Tim Burton is game for it.
In a recent interview, Burton joked: “Let's do the math. I'd be over a hundred. I guess it's possible with medical science these days. But I don't think so!”
Perhaps his mind will be swayed by the strong fan response to the film's opening weekend? We can certainly dream. Watch this space.
