GLAMOUR and Avon have launched an extremely important campaign, which you may have already encountered on social media under the hashtag #wallofsilence.
The Wall of Silence campaign raises awareness of domestic violence in the UK by encouraging people to post a "shhh" selfie with the hashtag #wallofsilence, representing the silence that often surrounds domestic abuse.

Since its launch, thousands of people have posted their "shhh" selfies, including a number of celebrities such as Maria Sharapova, Gillian Anderson, Nicole Appleton, Tamzin Outhwaite, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Olivia Colman, Lorraine Kelly and most recently the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.

The best bit of all? Between November 3 and December 10, Avon will donate £1 to Women's Aid and Refuge for every brick (proceeds split between Refuge and Women's Aid). You can also donate £5 by texting WALL to 70500.
