Brown trainers are coming for your wardrobe.

While white trainers are simply one of the classics that will probably never go out of fashion, a scroll through Instagram has shown that a particular colour has taken over, at least for the summer, one that can be styled in many different ways.

Every year, the Pantone Colour Institute selects the “Colour of the Year”, setting off trends that not only influence graphic and interior design, but of course also the fashion. For 2025, the Institute has proclaimed "Mocha Mousse" as the colour to know, an earthy brown tone that stands for calm, stability and conscious retreat.

Many labels and designers have been inspired by the "Colour of the Year" and have integrated brown in all its facets into their current collections. Naturally, the trainer world has also caught on. Whether in "mocha mousse", light brown, almost beige tones or deep dark brown, trainers in these hues are everywhere right now. Flat suede styles with a retro look are particularly popular and can currently be seen non-stop on the feet of fashion insiders around the world.
