Anya Taylor-Joy arrived on the Cote D'Azure in the south of France on Monday for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and already she's is giving us all lessons in 2024 summer style. Anya is at the annual film festival to promote her new film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, a prequel to the 2015 Mad Max: Fury Road, and before the carpet even began, she was pulling out ALL the stops.

For her first look of the 10-day-long event, the actress wore a mid-length strapless dress. The body-hugging orange look from ATLEIN's Spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection featured a hip-high slit.

Accessorised with a colour pop of a red lip, the perfect movie star sunnies and no doubt a healthy dose of SPF, it was her ginormous-sun-blocking-rafia hat by non other than the French king of ginormous-sun-blocking-rafia-hats himself, Jacquemus, that really stole the show. Not only is the ginormous-sun-blocking-rafia-hat look a genuinely great way to protect your skin from the sun, straw hats can be a way to add an element of beach-side glamour to your look (especially, and let us elaborate on this point, when it's ridiculously oversized).

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Anya Taylor-Joy opened up about the difficulties of playing young Furiosa in her latest film. “I’ve never been more alone than making that movie," she said. "I don’t want to go too deep into it, but everything that I thought was going to be easy was hard." She also added, "Like I knew I was going to need the two years that it took for the movie to come out to deal with it.”

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is set to release in cinemas nationwide on May 24. As Ms Taylor-Joy continues to promote the movie, we'll no doubt get a whole runway of looks to look forward to. So far, this look, her daring Paco Rabanne chain dress, and her floral metal Balmain dress have proved that she's one to watch.
