Are Andrew Garfield and Mel Gibson set to collaborate?
Reports are coming in that the pair will work together on war drama Hacksaw Ridge, which Mel is in line to direct, and Andrew is rumoured to be starring in.
The movie will focus on the life of Desmond T. Doss, a US Army medic who served in World War II and refused to kill the enemy Japanese troops during 1945 battle of Okinawa, and who was awarded the Medal of Honour for saving so many lives.
Hacksaw Ridge will be Mel's first directing gig since 2006's Apocalypto - and it sounds like a fascinating project.
