Hands up who's excited for Alexa Chung's forthcoming Marks & Spencer collection?

The 31-piece range lands in stores next month, so we sat down with Chung during her GLAMOUR cover shoot to find out what we can expect ahead of its launch.

She talks us through her favourite pieces - from Bryan Ferry-inspired, louche tailoring to prim Victoriana blouses - what inspired them, how to wear them and when.

Alexa Chung has teamed up with Marks & Spencer on a fashion collection, launching in stores this April.

The 31-piece range features classic archive M&S pieces that have been revived and curated by Chung to give them a contemporary, must-have appeal for 2016. Using modern fabrics and a fresh colour palette, Chung will bring the heritage of one of Britain's best-loved brands to a new, younger audience.

"I have always had an affection for Marks & Spencer," said Chung. "I am thrilled to be part of this special and unique project. There was something very touching about looking back through the British fashion and social history for which M&S is synonymous."

The collection campaign will launch in April with Chung leading creative direction. The model-cum-presenter has dabbled in fashion design before, having launched a seriously desirable collection for AG Jeans last year and a collection for Madewell a few years prior.

With Chung's ability to sprinkle fashion fairy-dust over anything she wears, this is sure to be not only a very popular collection, but exactly what M&S needs to give itself more fashion credibility than ever before.
