Alex Loudon is reportedly set to pop the question to Pippa Middleton, and the pressure is on for him to find a ring impressive enough for the sister of the Duchess Of Cambridge.
The former England cricket star is rumoured to have roped in a friend to look for potential engagement rings in the Cotswolds, presumably in the hope of avoiding media attention.
However, a source close to the couple has apparently revealed that a ring by fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg has already caught Loudon's eye.
The designer, who is a favourite of Pippa's sister Kate Middleton, makes modern-style rings, often with a very large diamond or crystal as the centre piece.
"Alex knows that if he doesn't ask her soon he might lose her. He's an ideal choice for Pippa," a source told reporters.
The comment follows Pippa's now famous dance with ex boyfriend Charlie 'Sharky' Astor last week.
