Internet reacts to Tom Hardy's Valentine's CBeebies story

Tom Hardy returned to CBeebies for a Valentine's Day bedtime story special, and proceeded to get all the adults in the room in a massive great tizzy because, Tom Hardy.

The star of Taboo and The Dark Knight Rises took things down a notch for his second CBeebies outing – reading Tom McLaughlin’s The Cloudspotter – but the nation's pulse rose regardless.

He had previously read You Must Bring A Hat by Simon Philip and Kate Hindley on New Year's Day, and frankly, if every major British holiday is accompanied by Tom Hardy reading a nice cosy story while his dog lies at his feet, that can only be a good thing.

And of course, while the stories are intended to get small childerbeest up the hill to bedfordshire, there's no reason why their parents can't enjoy them as well.

And people without children.

And people whose children are clearly too old.

And people who should have had better things to do. Ah well, for everything else, there's Tom Hardy.
