In fashion circles, I am sad to say that it is not considered chic to wear tights - it's a sign that you don't need to worry about tedious matters such as warmth because you're wealthy enough to travel solely in taxis. I wear them because my legs are not immune to feeling the December cold and my Uber budget will only stretch so far, so it is cheering to see Alexa Chung eschew one of fashion's more ridiculous dictums and wear a pair of tights to a fashion event.
