Sarah Y. Wu

Sarah Y. Wu is a beauty editor, copy director and consultant based in Berlin, Germany. She began her career as a beauty editor at Lifestyle Mirror in 2013 and has since held roles as Senior Contributor at Forbes and Beauty Features Editor at Teen Vogue, where she introduced the publication’s annual Acne Awards franchise and launched its first-ever Asian Pacific American Heritage Month package in 2018.

Her bylines have appeared in Vogue, Byrdie, NYLON, Marie Claire, PEOPLE, Women’s Health, Refinery29, WWD and TZR. She still receives weekly DMs about her Glamour story on masseter Botox, but is proudest of her profile on celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway for Glamour’s Women of the Year All Year.

Sarah has also led storytelling strategy as Director of Brand Voice at Beauty of Joseon and Contributing Copy Director at Milk Makeup. Behind the scenes, she has crafted copy and consulted on global strategy for brands including Haruharu Wonder, HERA, Innisfree, Dr. Reju-all, amika, DEINDE, Tata Harper, Hyper Skin, Ourself, Boy Smells, Gisou, Le Prunier, Glow Recipe, Dermstore and Color Wow. When she’s not buried in deadlines, she can usually be found reading a restaurant menu.
