All the inspiration you need to master the zodiac makeup trend

We've already fallen for constellation piercings, with many a smattering of starry studs adorning the ears, and we're all totally in tune with the movements of the planets (if only so we can watch out for mercury being in retrograde). Now, our obsession with all things out of this world is translating to our beauty regimes, namely with our makeup (think delicately drawn stars and plenty of ethereal shimmer) and nail art.

And according to recent Pinterest findings, it's not just us. According to the popular mood board maker, searches for intergalactic makeup using products like purple lip gloss, black lipstick and icy blue eyeshadow were up by a staggering +217% in the past year.

Plus, makeup artists and influencers are jumping on the trend to launch astrological-themed makeup designs and even products; "MUAs across Instagram are using their creativity and love of astrology to create out of this world make-up looks inspired by the zodiac, and using hashtags to share their creations with the world (…and beyond!)," says Kristie Dash, Instagram Beauty Partnerships Lead.
