Zara has a secret sale section and it's FULL of chic staples

Let's not beat around the bush here, we may be modest in all other areas of our lives but when it comes to Zara we all like to consider ourselves somewhat experts.

We know which stores have the self-checkout tills, we know exactly where (and when!) to head for the new-in collections and we know what time to arrive to avoid the longest queues, but how would you feel if we told you that you still didn't know about the high street stalwart's best-kept secret?

No, we're not talking about Zara home (but wow wasn't that a treat when we were first acquainted), but rather the secret sale (AKA the special prices section) on the brand's much-loved website.

Zara famously don't offer discount codes - even to students - which means that thousands of shoppers set endless alarms and reminders each time a seasonal sale is due. But while we're patiently waiting around for the likes of Black Friday to serve up some sartorial bargains, there is a sneaky discounted section hiding in plain site. That's right, an eternal sale.

Tucked neatly beneath the tabs for Dresses, Knitwear and Shoes - we admittedly rarely look further - you'll find a section entitled 'Special Prices'. Not marketed as a 'sale' per se, it is a page bursting with discounted pieces that range from their classic staple basics right through to their punchiest, most directional launches.

Amongst its highlights right now, we spotted a particularly great pair of faux leather trousers reduced from £32.99 to £22.99, a £19.99 oversized soft knit sweater that we've had our eye on since it was over £30, and some bang on trend chunky leather boots that were originally £89.99 and are now £55.99. We could go on.
