For the Halloween-themed Fright Night, Alexandra Burke opted to wear a simple beaded dress – albeit with spooky face detail hidden in the embellishment – for her first time sitting on the judges’ side of the desk. The former X Factor winner stood in at short notice when Kelly Rowland was struck down with a throat infection and was unable to fly back from LA in time for the show – and was spotted frantically searching for an outfit in London’s Selfridges prior to going live. “She literally had three hours to make up her mind, find an outfit and get out there,” one of Alexandra’s friends later told reporters.
