Why it’s a DON’T: Weird pose aside, we don’t think Sarah’s really nailed the festival fashion concept. While her 50s cats-eye sunnies might be en vogue, her printed playsuit, studded boots and garish scarf come across as dated to us.
How she could make it a DO: By sending the boots and scarf to the back of the closet for starters! This playsuit would look fab with a heavy knit cardi (á la Alexa Chung) or worn-in leather jacket (Kate Moss-style) and a pair of fierce workboots.

Why it’s a DON’T: The ultra-pale complexion that bagged Kristen a role in Twilight definitely doesn’t bag her a place on the best dressed list in this Burberry get-up - duck egg blue looks beautiful on the slightly tan, but it just washes Kristen right out.
How she could make it a DO: By taking a leaf out of Nicole Kidman’s book: she’s one A-lister who knows that porcelain skin looks fabulous contrasted against strong colours like red and emerald green.

Why it’s a DON’T: Because this glittering cut-out number (and blown-out-to-within-an-inch-of-its-life hair) says Las Vegas casino more than Hollywood red carpet to us.
How she could make it a DO: By embracing her tender age in directional, young designers (think Blake Lively and Leighton Meester). AnnaLynne has the body and youth to pull off playful party dresses as well as severe cuts – but this kind of dressing just adds years to the 90210 actress’ style age.

Why it’s a DON’T: As toned as it might be, Amelle, there’s no reason to be flashing us that much of your torso!
How she could make it a DO: A 90s-inspired cropped t-shirt still has serious cool factor, it’s just knowing how to wear it. Amelle’s belly-baring skinnies don’t work, but a high-waisted skirt or pair of jeans would be spot-on.

Why it’s a DON’T: The Saturdays star made that fatal fashion error of simply mixing too many ideas in one outfit. Over-the-knee socks, strappy peep-toes, chunky waist belt: it’s all too hectic to be really chic.
How she could make it a DO: By remembering that golden rule of style: take one accessory off before you leave the house. Ditching those socks or losing the belt would have made this look a winner.

Why it’s a DON’T: She’s at the airport, so we’ll give cute Brit singer Pixie Lott a break – but even if she is off-duty, this usually on-trend star let herself down here. Just like Kristen, Pixie looks washed out in too-pale shorts and a t-shirt, and don’t even get us started on those out-of-place loafers!
How she could make it a DO: Switch up the England football tee for a cosy jersey sweater (American Apparel has a great collection), add a pair of flip flops et voilá: flying in style nailed!

Why it’s a DON’T: Nicola gets serious style points for her maxi skirt – this season’s favourite skirt length don’t you know – but the cutesy, over-styled way she wears it leaves us cold.
How she could make it a DO: The fashion posse are all over the maxi hem for autumn/winter, but instead of looking to Miss Roberts, try Dries Van Noten and Michael Kors for your inspiration: paired with grungy sweaters and chunky boots, this skirt would have screamed “so-right-now”.

Why it’s a DON’T: Just because denim is an age-old wardrobe staple, doesn’t mean you can be lazy with how you wear it, Kristin. The Hills star might think that a ruffled top and statement heels are enough to win us over, but we’d like to see her look a little more daring than dull.
How she could make it a DO: Kristen’s lucky enough to have the leggy, slim kind of figure that can pull off anything – so she could get away with taking more risks with her look. An on-trend lace body or classic, timeless white men’s shirt with a head-turning statement necklace could have turned this outfit around.

Why it’s a DON’T: Revealing your bra on the red carpet doesn’t usually win our style vote, but those Lycra-loaded, over-the-knee boots just pushed us over the edge, Katie.
How she could make it a DO: We’d give Katie a total image overhaul if we could, but with a few small tweaks, this outfit disaster could have been a different story: a slip under the dress to avoid the dreaded paparazzi-flashbulb-see-through-dress effect, a pair of killer heels to show off her ultra-toned pins and a chic up-do is our prescription.

Why it’s a DON’T: The pinks, the blacks, the ruffles, the jewels: Katherine Heigl, you’re hurting our eyes with this classic example of an overly cluttered outfit!
How she could make it a DO: The skirt and those brand new brunette curls give Katherine princess-pretty potential – we know it might sound boring, but if she’d just left all those fluffy details behind and stuck to an LBD, she would have really turned heads (and for the right reasons!)

Why it’s a DON’T: Nudes are a tricky trend to wear, but skin-tight and halter-neck? Only for the very, very brave, Jess!
How she could make it a DO: Summer’s sophisticated yet flirty nude shades – eggshell, mink, oyster, cream – work best in light, loose layers, rather than figure-hugging pieces.

Why it’s a DON’T: The shoes, the shorts, the see-through vest... oh Britney, this really is a DON’T in every way.
How she could make it a DO: Shorts are one of the GLAMOUR.COM girls’ favourite summer looks, but Brit should have gone for denim cut-offs or culottes instead. Match with a slouchy jersey tee, lose the socks et voilá, street style done well!
WENNParis Hilton
Why it’s a DON’T: LA lady Paris is often guilty of one of fashion’s oldest crimes: leaving the house with one too many accessories on. This outfit – which we snapped her in at Coachella festival – is way too cluttered, which makes her look dated.
How she could make it a DO: Ditch the coordinated clutch, headband and pumps Miss Hilton – her dress is cute, but a pair of Gladiators or flip flops and a cross body bag would have given her the extra cool factor.

Why it’s a DON’T: Renegade fashionista Ashley’s experimental style has earned her a place on plenty a Best Dressed list, but this oversized mac drowns her petite bod and looks more creepy than cool.
How she could make it a DO: We’re loving that quirky headscarf and those shoes are gorgeous with a capital G, but a fitted, belted dress or a drop-waisted flapper style would have worked better here.

Why it’s a DON’T: Printed culottes are a bad choice for pear shapes like Mischa, as they make the body look even more bottom heavy. Plus, chunky knits like these really do look out of place in the summer months.
How she could make it a DO: Balance big shorts with extra volume on top (we’re talking a floaty blouse or laidback and baggy jersey tee) – leggy Mischa looks great in shorts if she just wears them the right way!

Why it’s a DON’T: Overly casual dress + ultra formal footwear = a classic fashion faux pas. We all have ‘off days’ but we can’t help but think if we had Katie Holmes’ huge budget and designer clothes on tap, we wouldn’t step out of the house looking like this!
How she could make it a DO: Ditch those dated heels, chuck on a pair of flip flops and a straw sun hat, and she’d be totally ready for a day in the summer sun.

Why it’s a DON’T: Didn’t you get the memo, Heidi? The Barbie look is over, and those ultra-straight, baby blonde hair extensions, knee-high boots and the feather bolero are all trends we hoped we’d seen the back of!
How she could make it a DO: By loosening up a bit! We prefer the natural, haphazard approach to style every time. Need proof? Just check out how consistently gorgeous Nicole Richie, Kate Moss and Jessica Alba look when they’re pounding the pavement.

Why it’s a DON’T: Katie’s channelling the typical WAG look here – expensive sunglasses, skinny jeans, masses of hair extensions and a teeny tiny bag – but we’re not impressed: she looks like a trend follower rather than a trendsetter.
How she could make it a DO: That furry jacket has got to go, likewise the cringy sunnies! And if she switched up her bag for a slouchy tote, and her tee for a cool denim shirt, then we’d be talking.

Why it’s a DON’T: Underwear as outerwear might have been having a fashion moment, but we don’t think the kings of the catwalk had THIS in mind this season. This overly revealing look might work by the pool, but not when the sun goes down.
How she could make it a DO: By covering up! This much flesh-flashing just isn’t acceptable, but while we hate what’s north of her knees, we’ve got to give the Spice Girl credit for rocking some fabulous footwear.

Why it’s a DON’T: Tucking a vest into (highly unforgiving) leggings is a surefire route to a serious fashion faux pas. And since Lindsay designed this pair herself, shouldn’t she already know that?!
How she could make it a DO: These wardrobe staples work best with lengthy tees or oversized sweater dresses – enough with the overexposure, Miss Lohan.
