White Lines is the gritty Netflix mystery-drama everyone will he hooked on this summer
No unpredictable British summer is complete without a Netflix fix, and fortunately the entertainment giant always have something juicy to offer. This summer, that comes in the form of a drama mystery starring Laura Haddock.
Written by Money Heist creator Álex Pin, White Lies tells the story of a young woman who visits Ibiza to uncover the truth behind her brother's mysterious disappearance 20 years ago on the island. In a extravagant world of super yachts, luxury, lies and cover-ups, she makes some dark self-discoveries of her own. Essentially, this is Riviera 2.0.
The announcement was made on Sunday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. If you're lucky enough to be heading off to the White Isle this summer, keep an eye out for the action as filming is set to commence in the Balearic Islands this month.
Guardians of the Galaxy's Laura Haddock will be joined by co-stars Juan Diego Botto, Nuno Lopes, Daniel Mays, Laurence Fox and Angela Griffin.
A stellar cast, the glamorous coastlines of the Balearic Islands and scandalous plot lines. What more could you ask for? Immediate release, perhaps.
