Right now the trend for niche cafes, is well, getting nicher. Just a year or so ago we were gobsmacked at the thought of a dedicated cat cafe, but now 2016 can boast everything from poop, blow-job (yep), porridge, cereal and manga cafes.

Starbucks may need to up it's game.

The Unicorn Cafe
Where: Bangkok, Thailand
Leave it to Asia when seeking a cuteness overdose. There's an unicorn cafe in Bangkok that is as every bit magical as it sounds. There is unicorn wallpaper, unicorn carpets and even the ceiling is covered in rainbow colours and glitter. And in case the décor is not overwhelmingly enough, you can strap on a fake horn and unicorn onesie, that the restaurant provides.
There you can order all sorts of colourful desserts or regular food, and believe us, even a hamburger is magical at this place, served in a unicorn plate, decorated with a horn.

The Cat Cafe
Where: Bangkok and London
Saturdays could be Caturdays if you're spending some time in Bangkok. There are over 40 cats living in this establishment and the owners allow 20 a time at the restaurant. The ambience in very lively and fun, different from other cat cafes you can pet them and even play with them (the staff will even provide toys). The cats are very active and approachable, the owner says he selects the cats according to their temperament, that's why they are super friendly with the clientele. There are usually queues outside of Caturday, and you'll probably have to wait, but it is totally worth it.
And don't worry if you're not in Bangkok there are a cat cafes in London and Manchester.

The Poop Cafe
Where: Seoul, South Korea
There's poop all over the walls in this little coffee shop in Seoul... wait, maybe we should rephrase that. Funny drawings that resemble the poop emoji decorate the walls of this adorable cafe, there are also poop-shaped pastries and you will sip your coffee in tiny toilet-shaped mugs.
It is definitely a weirdly cute ambient full of surprises, the more you stay there the more you start to realise bathroom objects disguised as normal objects, like urinals as plant vases.
The Fellatio Cafe
Where: Geneva, Italy - with plans to open in London
Probably the most controversial on this list. The first Fellatio Cafe is opening its doors the 5 of December in Geneva, Italy. Where men will be able to walk in and enjoy a coffee, or a coffee and a blow job, yes, you read it right. The news about the Fellatio cafe spread worldwide and the owners have partnered with a London based company to open their second cafe in the city.
Plans are a 150m2 store in Paddington, a high-end service and baroque style décor, with two booths for shy people but overall a regular cafe. And in case you're wondering, the employees performing the "job" are not the same as those who serve the coffee.

The Cereal Killer Cafe

Cereal with milk, just the sound of that is already super nostalgic. We grow up and trade that sugar rush for caffeine, it's normal, but this coffee shop will take you back in time to taste the classics and a ton of other cereals that you never heard about. Over 100 types of cereals, 30 types of milk and 20 toppings, surrounded by an outstanding collection of 80s and 90s memorabilia, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Porridge Cafe

Porridge is a go-to breakfast of fit Instagram models and now, if you live in London, you can grab a bowl to-go and start your morning feeling healthy. The owner, who is a street-food enthusiast, came up with the idea after travelling the world and realising that London didn't have its own porridge cafe. You can choose from a range of 11 grains, fruits and all sorts of savoury healthy toppings.

The Japanese Maid Cafe
Where: Brno, Czech Republic
The first Japanese maid cafe opened in Europe, where waitresses dressed in costumy maid outfits will be serving clients. Sometimes pairing their look with adorable cat or rabbit ears to cater to anime and manga fans. It doesn't sound that weird, but wait... the girls will act as if they were servants at your own home, calling you "master" or "mistress", and kneeling to stir cream and sugar into your coffee.
The Hogwarts Cafe
Where: Islamabad, Pakistan
Harry Potter fans, brace yourselves, The Hogwarts Cafe recently opened in Pakistan and will make you want to jump on a plane to see it asap. There are references of the movie everywhere you look and the décor recreates the Great Hall. There are even the portraits on the walls, The Quibbler and The Daily Proohet newspapers, and basically every reading piece you can find about Harry and his universe.
Sorting hats and wands decorate the tables, while you grab a bite of Godric's Hollowed Burger and enjoy some Butterbeer.

The Dog Cafe

Well this one is not even for humans, it is literally a dog cafe. Back in 2010, Lilly's Kitchen had the ultimate dog dinning experience, it didn't stick around for long as it was just a pop-up cafe. Along with dining on the brand's organic dog food range, your pooch could try the belly-rub bar, an acupuncture section or the snooze-zone by a fire place. Great food and a nap sounds like pup-heaven!

The Creme Egg Cafe

This pop-up restaurant opened in the beginning of the year for a couple of months, and its planning to open its doors once again next year. The initiative by Cadbury was heaven for those who love their Creme Eggs. Three floors of restaurant fully dedicated to your sweet tooth, well, sort of: the ground floor was for those on-the-go, selling takeaway creme egg toasties for only £2. The first floor was a restaurant serving all sorts of creme egg varieties. The second and last floor was a ball pool for adults.
