The vloggers have arrived and they can't be ignored. With YouTube followings bigger than Beyonce and fan girl scenes to rival One Direction, Zoella, Alfie Deyes, Tanya Burr and their counterparts are the new celebrity.
They're Generation Z's (more accessible) equivalent of popstars, with devoted followers tuning in week by week to watch everything from makeup tutorials to shopping hauls, personality vids and Q&As.

The bubbly star is best know for cool makeup tutorials, challenges and general Q&As. But Marina's name hit headlines recently when one of her videos, Date Outfit Ideas, sparked some controversy when fans thought she looked disorientated and unfocused, with some even thinking she was being kept hostage by ISIS. Marina later denied all claims and said she was fine.

What: Lindley is what you might call an all-rounder when it comes to vlogging, known for her beauty videos, shopping hauls and personality videos. She's well know for being ex-best friends with vlogging megastar Zoella, before the pair "grew apart". They've recently got back in touch and can ofter be found tweeting one another.

What: Zoella is less of a rising star and widely viewed as the British vlogging queen. Her hair and make-up tutorials have made her one of the most famous names in online blogging and her debut book, Girl Online, broke the record for the highest ever first-week sales for a debut author since records began in 1998 - that's more than JK Rowling. There is now a bidding war to turn the book into a film and she has more YouTube subscribers than Beyonce. Want to know how you can meet Zoella? What: Tanya Burr is loved because she’s likeable, relatable and informative and her beauty tutorials span celebrity looks, back to work hairstyles and product-focused episodes. We also rather enjoyed her Oreo cupcake-making video (yes, she does recipes too) and released her debut cookbook in 2016, called Tanya Bakes. Burr also has a book, Love, Tanya, and makeup collection.

What: AJ Odudu is a television presenter by trade, as a spokesperson for her agency says, she sounds like Vera Duckworth but looks like Naomi Campbell. She’s interviewed Russell Brand and gave him a better run for his money than Jeremy Paxman; made Russell Crowe giggle (yes giggle, we kid you not) and makes exercising look almost more appealing than our sofa which is no mean feat. Watch her YouTube channel for workout tips, what to wear to look stylish while keeping fit and delicious, healthy recipes.

What : If you’re not feeling high in energy, maybe steer clear of Alfie Deyes’ Pointles Blog. He’s the human equivalent of Tigger, a chipper Brighton boy who just likes chatting about stuff – like trying American candy, showing off his new puppy and his favourite Facebook fails. He launched his first book, The Pointless Book in September 2014 and was greeted by 8,000 fans at the launch. He also goes out with fellow YouTube star Zoella, making them the ultimate vlogging power couple.

What : It’s very interlinked this vlogging world; Joe Sugg is the younger brother of Zoella and has followed in her illustrious footsteps and created a popular vlog with over three million subscribers. Basically, he likes making a fool out of himself for entertainment, as he says himself. His videos see him wrapping himself in sellotape, impersonating Kim Kardashian (this is a personal favourite) and pranks in many forms (balloons are a preferred utensil). In his spare time, he thatches roofs. Warning: He’s very hyper.

Think plenty of pranks, shouting and innuendos. He was also part of the YouTube boyband that raised money for Comic Relief. He also made a cameo appearance in The SpongeBob Movie.

What: Even Jamie Oliver rates Ian Haste’s healthy approach to delicious-looking, accessible cooking. With a Gastro pub background, Haste is a great teacher, as well as a good cook. Find out how to make a nutritious version of Nando’s chicken (it is possible), a healthy take on Nachos (basically add salad) and flour-free banana pancakes.

The mother of one now has two channels, Sprinkle of Glitter and Sprinkle of Chatter, the latter of which focuses on her life in general, with plenty of baby updates. This year, she published her debut book, Sprinkle of Glitter Diary 2016: How to Have the Best Year of Your Life. Pentland is probably the girliest vlogger you could come across.

Their brushes brand has become the best-selling in the UK, even more than Mac.
