Another reason to love Tom Hardy: He carried out a citizen arrest on a thief

Tom Hardy turned into a real life superhero over the weekend when he stopped a thief in his tracks.

Reportedly the 39-year-old actor chased and stopped a man in Richmond, London, who was trying to steal a moped. Witnesses said he ran through gardens and a building site before catching the thief by the scruff of the neck and declaring, "I caught the c***".

Hardy then threw the man into a bus stop before patting him down and checking for weapons.

A witness said, "It was mental – like he'd switched to superhero mode in an action movie - Tom Hardy's clearly not a man you'd mess with. I think he even checked the kid's ID before cops took over."

Whatta man.
