Everyone is losing their minds over this new mask from The Ordinary
We all love The Ordinary for their results-driven cosmeceutical skincare formulas that provide high-end solutions at high-street prices, and have been instantly enamored with every new product since the brand launched in 2016.
And there's been a lot to love with an impressive collection of 59 products ranging from the hydrating Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 serum, to the Serum Foundation, to Retinol 1% in Squalane.
It may come as a surprise, therefore, that The Ordinary don't have a face mask. Until now, that is. The brand has just announced the imminent arrival of their first ever face mask - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque.
Aimed at breakout-prone skin, the mask's hero ingredient, salicylic acid, is proven to help clear congested pores and control sebum production, preventing future breakouts as well as treating existing ones. According to the brand, the structure of salicylic acid "facilitates its lipophilicity and miscibility with the lipids located on the surface of the skin," essentially meaning that it is able to effectively remove dead skin cells on the surface of oily skin, helping to unblock pores and reveal more radiant skin beneath.
As well as the star spot-fighting ingredient, the new mask also contains clay, which draws out impurities, and charcoal, known for its detoxing abilities.
The mask hasn't launch yet but information and an email sign up is already showing on the brand's website - and at £9.90 for a 50ml mask, there's bound to be a long wait list already. Sign us up. We'll be sure to update you once we've tried it out.
