The best BAFTA dresses of all time
Oscars shmoscars. When sh*t's going down in America we look to the only big award's ceremony us Brits can take credit for – the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Otherwise known as Beautifully Awesome Frocks To Admire (or the BAFTAs).
With the 70th awards just around the corner, we take a second to throwback to the most iconic dresses in BAFTA history...
REX FeaturesAudrey Hepburn wore this timeless strapless gown to the 1955 BAFTAs. Nominated for her performance in Sabrina Fair, Audrey paired the sheer-skirted dress with a crystal embellished clutch and elbow length gloves – iconic 50s style.
REX FeaturesSimplicity is key with Julia Roberts’ head to toe burgundy sheath dress. The Pretty Woman actress attended the 1998 BAFTAs and stole the show.
