Taylor Swift's Taste Tour

"I know the best places worldwide to eat. Fact. Do not read this while hungry"
Taylor Swift/InstagramNew York: Milk Bar
Warning: it is a magical place and you will want to eat everything there. I can’t help you with that, because no one is immune. I can suggest their cereal milk soft-serve ice cream, blueberry and cream cookies, Karlie’s Kookies for a healthy option, and their famous Birthday Cake. I served it at my 25th birthday party to rave reviews. milkbarstore.com

Ralph Lauren opened his latest restaurant in Midtown, and recently my friends, Gigi [Hadid], Karlie [Kloss], Ashley [Avignone], and Martha [Hunt], and I decided to have a fancy dress-up girls’ night and go check it out. It’s decorated like an English equestrian club, with dark wood finishes and portraits of horses everywhere. Life hack: there’s a reason every waiter tells every table that the Reuben is Ralph’s favourite. It’s quite possibly the sandwich they feed you if you get to Heaven. ralphlauren.com

New York: The Smile
I love this café because of its cosy, shabby chic vibe. It’s just dark enough to create ambiance and has a great brunch menu. I usually get the Greek yoghurt with fruit and homemade granola. And the quinoa banana muffins are everything. thesmilenyc.com

New York: Siggy’s
Good Food. Great healthy food in a really chill atmosphere. The staff are friendly – one reason I love it. I recommend the quinoa avocado salad. siggysgoodfood.com
Shake Shack/InstagramNew York: Shake Shack
The first time I hung out with Ella [Lorde], we met up in Gramercy and walked to the Shake Shack around the corner from my hotel. I hadn’t moved to New York yet, and I’m pretty sure that burger and shake combo sold me on the idea. Then we nearly got eaten alive by crazed squirrels who were after our fries. Ah, good times. shakeshack.com
Levain Bakery/InstagramNew York: Levain Bakery
Yes, it’s all the way on the Upper West Side and it takes me forever to get there. Do I still go? Yes. Because the way you feel when you’re carrying a box of freshly baked chocolate chip and walnut cookies that are each THE SIZE OF YOUR FIST is worth the journey. Then you bite into them and you realise that this moment was destiny. You were born to eat this cookie. levainbakery.com

New York: Koi
This sushi restaurant in the Trump SoHo has the double tuna roll, which would be all I ever ate for the rest of my life if I had the option. The sautéed green beans are insanely good, and their “She’s So LA” rolls have tiny flakes of gold on top (excessive, I know. But the roll itself is SO GOOD OMG). koirestaurant.com
Bills/InstagramSydney: Bills
Bill Granger has restaurants all over the world, but the two I’ve been to have been in London and Sydney. In Sydney, I had banana hotcakes, coconut bread, and corn fritters. In London, I had clotted cream and scones. The atmosphere is really rustic in London, very clean and beige in Sydney. I love how each restaurant represents its city, all the while serving some of the best comfort food to weary travellers like me. bills.com.au
Taylor Swift/InstagramLondon: Nando’s
Ed Sheeran got me hooked on Nando’s when we were on The Red Tour. I know it’s quite a normal thing in England, but we are deprived of the mango chicken wraps and grilled corn in America! I love getting a side of grilled halloumi cheese and the spicy rice. The chips are amazing too. OK, I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT NANDO’S, I’M NOT SORRY. nandos.co.uk

Nashville: Pancake Pantry
I love this breakfast place because it serves about a million kinds of pancakes, including my favourite, sweet potato pancakes. It’s a Nashville staple, with a line usually stretching around the block in quaint Hillsboro Village. thepancakepantry.com
Rex FeaturesNashville: Etch
Nashville is expanding fast, and this restaurant is one of the reasons why I think that’s a good thing! They have amazing entrées like cobia (spiced fish) served with a fried beignet, and their sides (truffle-roasted cauliflower, creamy chickpeas, charred broccoli) are perfect complements. etchrestaurant.com
Inout/InstagramLos Angeles: In-N-Out Burger
I get a cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate shake. The clouds part, the sun shines through, and the world is suddenly right again (well, maybe not always, but at least I had a great burger). in-n-out.com

Los Angeles: Wokcano
The great thing about Wokcano is that it’s open really late and the food is exactly what you want when you order Chinese food. There are also sushi options and lots of different variations on Asian cuisine, but I just DIE for the orange crispy chicken and vegetable fried rice. wokcanorestaurant.com
