The bigger, the better - so don’t be shy.GET THE LOOK: Rickrack hair in Kirby grips and leave to set - adding a spritz of strong hold hair spray. Finally, brush the hair out and then backcomb the lengths with a Mason & Pearson brush.

While the wild likes of Marc Jacobs and Topshop were rocking out with Seventies-inspired candyfloss froth, the ever-classic likes of Gucci, Versace and Prada showcased a decidedly sleeker silhouette, with slicked-back sisters strutting the catwalks with gender-bending confidence. Side-parting, strong lines and wet-look finishes are key.
GET THE LOOK: Raid the bathroom cabinet for your man’s gel and go to town. Use a fine-tooth comb to achieve a slicker than your average finish and a strong parting, then finish with a shine spray for that added polished sheen. Add a slick of bubblegum pink gloss to your lips for that perfect catwalk-esque androgynous finish.

Ultra-feminine braiding of Lela Rose. To achieve this look, rough-dry your mane upside down after spritzing with a volumising spray directly on the roots. Once dry, sweep hair over one shoulder and haphazardly braid to the tips. Once secured, add texture to the braid with your fingers by ‘smudging’ and randomly pulling sections free.

For this season’s hottest colour trend, simply look to the stars. ‘Ombre’ - meaning graduated colour from darker at the roots to lighter at the ends, creates a natural, sexy, carefree look. Outlandish popstrals Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have all opted for dip-dyed shades of bubblegum pink, lilac and pastel blues, while more sedate style icons Drew Barrymore, Rachel Bilson and Alexa Chung have been rocking more ‘natural‘ hues.
