PA PhotosThe Dress: Vera Wang at the Emmys, 2011
Why we loved it: Lighting up the red carpet in this dazzling coral number, Sofia once again highlighted those killer curves and the confident attitude that made her one of America’s favourite TV stars. This off-the shoulder number, with its flowing train and waist-cinching powers injected Sofia with a boost of femme fatale va-va voom. Not that she needs it...
Rex FeaturesThe Dress: Victoria Beckham at the Spirit Of Achievement Lunch, 2012
Why we loved it: Sofia knows that she can work royal blue, and got double points here for matching her dress with her statement ring. Victoria Beckham couldn’t have asked for a better advertisement for her design.
PA PhotosThe Dress: Dolce & Gabbana at Paleyfest 2012
Why we loved it: Living proof of the myth that every girl needs a good LBD in her wardrobe, Sofia kept things simple with this lacy strapless number. Teaming it with a leopard print clutch and a pair of classic Christian Louboutins for a splash of colour, her glossy locks and toned-down make-up let the dress do all the talking.

Why we loved it: Not many people would be able to make themselves heard over this loud strapless design – but Sofia managed it with ease. Teamed with tousled curls, leopard-based shoes and a black clutch, Sofia made sure that all eyes were on her.
PA PhotosThe Dress: David Meister at the Golden Globe Nominations, 2012
Why we loved it: This wholesome-looking embroidered halter-neck dress added a hint of retro prom-style glamour to the occasion. Teaming it with nude shoes, Sofia infused a splash of colour with a pair of twinkly emerald-drop earrings.
PAThe Dress: Dolce & Gabanna at the CNN Heroes All-Star Tribute, 2011
Why we loved it: Demonstrating that less is more, Sofia’s Woman In Black look here is elegant and achingly stylish. With her hair blow-dried to perfection and jewels glinting in her ears (from her own line at KMart, no less), she well and truly put her best foot forward here, proving that even Hollywood stars wear tights sometimes.
Rex FeaturesThe Dress: Marchesa at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, 2012
Why we loved it: Perfect for showcasing those ridiculously gorgeous curves, this silky fuchsia gown screams sex bomb. The floor-skimming length meant that Sofia looks both naughty and nice, as well as allowing her to maintain an air of lady-like glamour.
PA PhotosThe Dress: Monique Lhuillier at the Directors’ Guild Awards, 2011
Why we loved it: Lace. Check. Cut-away. Check. Embracing two of 2011’s biggest trends, this semi-backless gown is little short of fashion genius. Matched with a pearly Jenny Packham clutch, a slash of red lipstick (“If I walk outside without lipstick, I feel naked,” she once said) and that megawatt grin, Sofia’s good to go.
PA PhotosThe Dress: Yigal Azrouël on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 2011
Why we loved it: Sofia obviously knows that Grecian-style dresses are perfect for showing off flawless tans – and perfect pins. No wonder she’s got such a big smile on her face!
PA PhotosThe Dress: Roberto Cavalli at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, 2011
Why we loved it: Electric blue and slashed to the thigh, the pleating on this daring number was perfect for drawing attention to Sofia’s teeny-tiny waist. The 21st Century hourglass has landed!
