Hello lover! SJP shoes are now available in the UK (and yes, we want all of them)
If anyone knows good shoes, it's Sarah Jessica Parker and her shoe line is loved by everyone. And now, they're available to the masses as they go on sale on Amazon Fashion.
Warning: The Fawn style WILL remind you of Carrie's wedding shoe in Sex and The City, we promise you. Seriously: who can forget those blue Manolo wedding shoes!?
The collection will also include three new colours of the iconic Fawn; ‘Dash’, ‘Flirt’ and ‘Wink’, exclusive to Amazon Fashion. And what's more - customers who buy a pair will also receive an SJP dust bag personally signed by Sarah Jessica Parker.
“The chance to collaborate with Amazon Fashion in Europe is a massively exciting opportunity,” said Sarah Jessica Parker. “Amazon offers great support to its brands and designers and an exceptional experience for all its customers. After launching my collection with Amazon in the States nearly one year ago, we are now looking forward to curating a beautiful, creative and appealing collection for European customers. Linking arms with Amazon Fashion in Europe is a great privilege for us, and we're looking forward to continuing to grow this relationship together.”
Because in an age of celebrity fashion and fragrance lines that, for the most part, don't entirely make sense, Parker's shoe collection (aptly called SJP) with none other than George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik, the designer label she helped put on the map on SATC, actually feels like an authentic passion project.
After all, SJP did for Manolo what Jane Birkin did for Hermès. And the fashion world's never looked back.
Back when she launched SJP, Sarah said: "In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw."
But this isn't the first time SJP has joined a fashion design team - she also worked for a year and a half with Halston Heritage, where she seemed keen to learn her new trade.
Only time will tell how SJP fares with Amazon shoppers, but we think Parker has one foot in the right direction already.
